Question

White-label website for a tax-preparation company?

Hello,

I'm a web/software developer and I have a client who said he wants a website "like TurboTax."

I decided very quickly that developing software for filing taxes was way too much for just me. So I'm looking for a white-label solution where the client's customers would log in and use web-based software like ProConnect, but the site would be fully branded for my client's business.

Is this something I can do with ProConnect? I'm looking for any ideas.

Thank you,

Dave

The IRS has resources for you; you don't have to reinvent the wheel.

"the client's customers would log in and use web-based software"

You want to Skin someone else's product? It seems you need to decide who is the Tax Preparer, first. And you know about Free File, right? Lacerte has an SDK available, but nothing from Intuit is meant for you to buy it as wholesale and then roll it out as your own product or portal.
