Where to find input field for Initial Return for Form 1120?

I have entered the incorporation date and the start date (2020) for a 1120 corporation. Is there a separate field to enter "Initial Return" for line E on front page of the return or does the software recognize my start date entry and make the entry for me?

You need to make the entry. I all of ProConnect, go to Check Return > on the left click Forms > find the form > find the line or box you want and if it is shaded light blue, click that and you will get to the input. 

I have circled two examples here:

 

 

If you are doing 2020, that will be a paper return. Select print and it will print to pdf, you can then print the pdf to paper for mailing. e-file is current year and two prior only.
