The same place you enter 2019 social security payments.

Different answer, and I don't know in ProSeries, ProConnect  tax if you're doing the special calculation.

The more I know the more I don’t know.

There was a perfectly good answer in https://proconnect.intuit.com/community/lacerte-tax-discussions/discussion/how-to-treat-ss-lump-sum-payment-in-lacerte/00/31005 Maybe @IntuitBettyJo can get the broken links fixed or point us to how to handle Lump Sum Social Security in PCT.

You will need to do the worksheets from https://www.irs.gov/publications/p915 (look for the table of contents on the left) and manually attach a pdf and forch the taxable portion of Social Security.

Answers are easy. Questions are hard!

Hi Laura, you can find instructions on entering lump-sum payments here: https://proconnect.intuit.com/community/individual/help/entering-a-social-security-lump-sum-payment-form-ssa-1099/00/103268

The program can't calculate the taxable amount on a lump-sum election, but the article gives some guidance on how to find the taxable portion.
