Where can a withheld amount from a 1099-MISC for a royalty be included in a Schedule E?

Or, can the withheld amount be entered  elsewhere than Schedule E?

The Tax Payments worksheet will probably take it, or if you scroll down the 1099MISC entry worksheet (assuming youre using the worksheet) theres a spot for Federal Withholding.

 

Dang it, this says ProConnect, Im a ProSeries person, so please disregard my answer, the programs are not similar in this respect.  Sorry.

I did actually record the withheld tax on Misc. income per your suggestion.

I'm sure that there are more than a few similarities between the different tax prep programs.

However, you shouldn't waste your time with meaningless criticism if you aren't even going

to offer some kind of assistance.

Making a Reply that something has been posted multiple times will help your Peer Volunteers who might not realize the topic is running more than once, might not see that the same help has already been given elsewhere, might not understand that there already is more detail in one of the other places it is posted, or simply, might help avoid spinning wheels and spending time where it is not needed.

Because you are unlikely to be the only person a bit busy, this time of year, here on this Peer User Community.

It isn't a meaningless criticism to you. It is to help you see what happened, so that you can avoid it next time, and to provide a bit of a road sign to everyone else.
