What happens when the Direct Deposit Banking Account Number is wrong?
I entered the account number incorrectly and although the tax return was accepted, the money can't be deposited into the correct account.
I want to know what happens in a situation like this? Will I have to wait until the check is mailed to the taxpayer since the IRS can't deposit it? Is it possible for me to call the IRS and give them the right number?
