Question

What happens if you file and extension for a business under the wrong entity type? New company and they do not know and I have been trying to contact IRS to no avail.

Client can not locate their IRS Form SS-4 which indicates their entity filed for.

If you e-filed the extension and it was accepted, you guessed right.
