What do you do when clients never adjust inventory? Its the same every year.

Talk to them. Maybe they have no idea what it even means. Maybe someone used to do their taxes and had a process that took care of this, and they don't know you won't be doing this. Maybe nothing changed; it's been a bad couple of years.
