Question

What do I enter for a non-resident alien tax ID number when they don't have one and never will have one? Trying to clear the e-file diagnostic.

Client is married and lives abroad.  Spouse is a non-resident alien.  Filing as MFS but and have entered spouses name but what number do I enter for tax ID?
