I filed an extension for 2020 tax return and mailed in paper return on October 24,2021.  I have not received my refund and the IRS shows they have not received it.  What should I do?  I have tried calling and can not talk to an individual.

Ignore the letter and wait.

IRS made this announcement the other day. They have a huge backlog of paper returns to process.

The more I know the more I don’t know.
