Transferring files to a new preparer

My clients who file two tax returns, one as a single, the other married joint. so altogether two sets of records going back to 2019. How do i TRANSFER THE RECORDS to their new tax preparer? The new preparer, sues Pro connect as well, if that makes a difference.

    Your ex-client has a printed copy of the return that they can/should provide to the new preparer.  You could also provide a .pdf copy of the return.    I would never give another firm/preparer a copy of my program file for a client.   That's just me......

      Yup, I don't have any problems giving a paper or pdf copy of the return to the new preparer, but never my data file.  But with that said, even if you wanted to give them the data file, I don't know how you would even accomplish that with ProConnect.
