Submitted a direct debit for the wrong date

Mistakenly entered the wrong date for direct debit payment and submitted the retun.  Is there any way to adjust the date after submittig it?  I'm assuming no.

    If for 1040 tax to the IRS, you can call the 800 number on the filing instructions and cancel it through the automated system, then set up a new payment via IRS Direct Pay.

    For anything else, it's going to depend on the type of tax and taxing authority.
