Sending Tax Returns w/SSN to Clients

Hello! 

Is there a way to send prior year tax returns to clients, so that they can see the SSN and the transmission is secure? 

I've downloaded the tax returns to a folder I have created under documents but don't know how to send them a link or allow them to access that folder.

You can always password protect the pdf files.  Personally, I use Adobe for that, but there are free softwares out there that will password protect pdf files.
