Schedule D Manual Input

My client had many stock transactions in 2024. Do I have to enter each stock sales transaction manually in Schedule D/4797, or can I import 1099-B to Proconnect or enter the aggregate ST and LT capital gain? If I do not have to enter each transaction manually, appreciate it if you share me the link on how to import or enter the aggregate ST and LT capital gain.

I do an aggregate for each account and type (ST covered, ST noncovered, ST not on 1099B, same for each LT)

I use -01/01/2025 as acquired and -01/02/2025 as sold for ST (prints as various)

I use same except acquired -01/01/2000 for LT

And you don't have to enter details for covered transactions per the Schedule D instructions for many years.

The more I know the more I don’t know.

I think you meant you have to enter details for non-covered transactions.  You can do that by entering each transaction (or importing it from a spreadsheet), or by attaching a PDF document that has the transaction details.
