Sale of Home Worksheet.  Sale of primary home after 18 months.  Single person. Owns and occupies.  Unforeseen circumstances.  Divorce.   Where is the calculation for Line 29a?  The current box shows zero.

    Line 9.  It asks you if you want to use the Exclusion.  If you say no, it won't calculate the exclusion because you said you don't want it.

    Have you filled in Lines 20-28?

    Have you checked if all of the proper boxes are checked in Lines 8-14?  Be sure to look for the errors for missed entries.

    Lines 8-14:  All NO except 11,13,14 blank.  

    Line 20A, 21:YES   Line 23(a)(b)(c):18   Lines 24-28:blank.

    Calculation works if I answer YES to no previous use of exclusion in last 24 months.  But, it is more beneficial to use the Unforeseen Circumstances option and save the 24 month exclusion.

    There is a gain on the sale.
