Rolling over 2023 returns to 2024

Is there a way to create 2024 returns in bulk? and is there a way to have the assignee stick from year to year. Personally for me it's all of these little steps that are huge time suckers, when it seems like they could easily be automated.

Batch transfer multiple returns into the next years returns.

Select Settings at the top-right
Choose Batch Actions (Transfer Prior Year Data).
- This will show the prior year returns.
To choose all the clients, check the box next to CLIENT NAME.
To choose all clients who don’t have a current-year return yet, check the box next to those client names.
Click on Start Transferring from the bottom right corner of the screen.
- This will start the automated transfer. Once complete, the list will show a status of Complete for each return.
- If a tax return is listed here, but can't be selected, you need to remove the access restriction to proforma. Refer to this article for more information.

Not sure how to bulk assignee though.

THANK YOU SO MUCH, really appreciate it. I was only looking under "Batch actions" on the tax return screen. Not sure why they wouldn't list that feature there versus settings, but glad YOU found it and shared.
