Who else got their early renewal quote for pro connect and the prices are more than double the current year?  How does Proconnect justify this without adding any more value

Double the price? That doesn't sound right. You may want to call and ask for price confirmation

My didn't double, but I run a small shop, the user access fee adds 39% to the cost of the returns I need to purchase.

We received our renewal quote as well, and I have the same concern.

Our TY2026 renewal pricing increased significantly, and what makes it even harder to understand is that Intuit is currently advertising ProConnect Advanced with more individual returns and multi-user access at a price that is roughly 35% lower than what we are being quoted for fewer individual returns.

I understand that some website promotions are limited to new customers. However, that still does not answer the larger question: why are existing customers with significant return volume being quoted materially higher pricing instead of being offered a competitive ProConnect Advanced renewal option?

At more than 400 total returns annually, we are now seriously evaluating other cloud-based professional tax platforms. Switching software is not something any CPA firm takes lightly because of conversion, training, and workflow disruption, but when the pricing gap gets into the 30%–40% range, it becomes difficult not to evaluate alternatives.

I would really like to hear from Intuit about what additional value existing customers are receiving for these increases and whether there is an Advanced renewal option available to current ProConnect firms.

“I would really like to hear from Intuit”

For a question like this, normally what you hear from Intuit is the sound of crickets.

Update after speaking with Intuit renewal support: I was told that the lower advertised ProConnect Advanced pricing is tied to new-customer offers, while existing customers are being renewed at materially higher rates.

What was most frustrating is that there did not appear to be a meaningful retention option, alternative pricing structure, or escalation path available during the call.

For firms like ours preparing 400+ total returns annually, that makes the pricing gap hard to ignore. We are now actively comparing other cloud-based professional tax platforms because the difference is large enough to justify evaluating the conversion effort.

I’d be interested to hear whether any existing ProConnect users have successfully negotiated a better renewal rate or moved to another cloud platform with a relatively smooth conversion.
