On 1120S K-1 -> Basis Limitation (7203) -> "Stock basis at beginning of year", how is "-1" different from entering a "0"? Why does "0" not generate the 7203 form?

Because zero doesn't exist in the Lacerte family. Minus 1 equals zero in their vocabulary.
