MI Medicare Premium

How do I adjust the MI medicare premiums paid.  I added the appropriate amount but proconnect is not picking it up the the total deductions on the MI tax return.

    Are you speaking of Medicare premium or Medicare supplement premium?

    Hey George,

     

    I'm getting a warning about the premiums for medicare not being deductible on the MI1040cr and to make the adjustment to taxable social security.  When I the amount the client paid Proconnect is not adjusting the total deductions on the MI tax return.

    I don't go MI. My guess is that it is just a warning and you can ignore it.

    Do you, as the paid preparer, feel that everything is being reported correctly?

    • If so, file the return.
    • If not, what needs to be done to correct the issue.
