Is it correct to have an amount in box 1 and box 12 for third party sick pay? Box 1 is higher than 12

Why do you leave us to guess that you are talking about a W-2? There is lots of room to type more information.

Assuming W-2 - YES

Box 12 is explaining that an itty bitty amount is tax free. Box 14 is informational that the rest of it was paid for by somebody else and NOT a taxpayer policy, so they now have the privilege of paying tax on it.
