Is a return required to be filed if the client received a lawsuit settlement of $11?
She is not required to file otherwise. SS income $32,538., pensions $2,179. No other income. The settlement was not personal injury. It was citicorp re a 401 K. She did not have a 1099-misc although I think they sent one to her.
