If I have already e-filed a Federal extension 4868 can I select electronic payment of balance due with extension after the 4868 was e-filed?
Does the electronic payment with extension box need to be checked before e-filing extension 4868?

I don't believe there's any restriction for that. But to make an electronic payment, you will need to check the box.
