I see there is a place to put promised date, but I don't see a way for that to show up to see in the view of the returns. Can it be setup in the status columns?

Are you asking about Lacerte. The answer is NO. 10+ years ago it was useful. Not so much anymore, but they left it in. I have tried finding something through custom filters and even that is none eventful.
