Question

I need to prepare an amended NYS return for an incorrect resident tax credit. I cannot find where to put the correction on the IT-201-X. How do I access the IT-201-X?

VT non resident return was filed and tax due
 was adjusted due to an error on the return. Federal amendment is not needed.

Start with a 1 for NY in Amended Return > General Information > 2nd entry (do not check the box for Amending federal return.)
