Question

I mistakenly added a Detroit resident return when in fact I need a Detroit nonresident return. How do I change it?

The program will generate a Detroit resident or nonresident return based on the Residency selection. In the State & Local > Taxes section choose Michigan Cities then locate the Detroit tab and the Residency field. In the Residency field you can select the residency status for the taxpayer and spouse, if applicable.
