Question

I'm not filing an extension for CT but the extension form is showing up and I get an error message that the ext needs to be paid electronically. How do I get rid of it?

If a Federal extension is triggered and there is an amount due on the CT extension, the CT-1040EXT will trigger.  However, if you want to turn off the CT extension, go to the Extensions input screen then to the State and Local section, under the Connecticut information section enter a -1 to suppress the extension amount due on the CT-1040EXT.
