I keep getting an error message that the name control is invalid when trying to file a 990EZ, but I've verified the accuracy of it against the EIN letter. Any advice?
I've tried filing multiple times. First, I didn't populate the Name Control override field and the error message popped up saying it defaults to using first four letters as the name control. The first four letters match what is in the EIN as the name control. I then populated the name control override field with the name control that matches the EIN, and still got the error message.
