I have a 1099-R form with a code of 7 D.  It is an annuity but not an iRA account. With that information the distribution is taxable in the Illinois tax return. I am led to believe by certain AI websites that it is still possible to justify subtracting this income from being taxed in Illinois.  It seems to be related to retirement income.  What would I have to provide that would justify not reporting this income in the Illinois tax return.  The taxpayer is 85 and semi-retired.  [removed by moderator]

Remove your email and phone. This is a public forum.

I'd start with the IL instructions for that subtraction, not AI.

The more I know the more I don’t know.
