Question

I filed an extension with nothing owing, but now the client wants to make a payment.

I filed the extension (which i did last week) and now the client has decided that she should pay the amount she thinks will be due.

I can't file another extension in ProConnect..   How can i get that payment to the IRS by 4/15?  Can I do in ProConnect or do i go online and make through IRS website.

Help!

Thanks

IRS does not need the money by April 15.  You just need to mail it by then.  Can she get the check to you?  Or you can email her a pdf if she knows how to print it and address an envelope.

    IRS Direct Pay works.

The more I know the more I don’t know.

Food for thought - don’t file those extensions so early next year.  The less time clients have to think, the better it is for tax preparers.
