Question

I do not charge for preparing returns. I currently have a PTIN and EFIN and efile returns. Do I have to have a PTIN in order to efile a return on pro connect

I.e.,  will it reject, if I do not have a PTIN.. I am not sure if they will be charging this year or not, but did not want to incur additional charges if not needed.

I think you need it. IRS is going to start charging again for a PTIN.

The more I know the more I don’t know.

    You need an EFIN to Efile, do you need a PTIN to have an EFIN?
