I clicked efile then i clicked amend quickly before the 1040 being sent to the agency, now I don't have the option to efile either return

If you were living in the 1800's you would be famous for being the quickest draw in the west. However, since it isn't the 1800's, being the quickest mouse clicker in the west only gets you in trouble.

Treat the returns like fine wine, aging just a bit but not too long that the clients whine about delays. I wait til end of the next day to efile, esp if client contacts me that day with 'oh, I just received another tax form in the mail' and if needed, I take one final look-over. Though I don't have the amend quickly checkbox 😄, sounds tempting.

Be careful. I am not positive, but amending and amended amended return might wave two too many flags.
