Question
I am trying to create an amended return for a Maryland client. I'm going around and around and not getting anywhere, how to fix?
I'm going around and around on this, and it's probably easy, but I'm not finding a fix. Critical diagnostics are: Form 1040: Form 1040-X is included in this return. This return must be e-filed as an amended return. Please use E-file Amendment options in the File Return. Then if I try to efile the amended return, I get this: Complete these two steps to E-File Amendments:
On the Profile screen check the boxes in the E-FILE column for each desired agency in the Amendments filing section.
On the Input Return screen find the amendment form(s) and designate each desired tax return as an amendment.
All this is done, but I'm not getting a way to efile the Federal and MD returns.
