How to report seller financed (installment sale) as part of 1031 exchange
I am entering a 1031 exchange for individual, the FMV of new asset is less than the asset sold.
I have entered the disposition on the asset (depreciation) screen to general form 8824/4797
The seller carried a note on the property sold, how do I enter the installment portion?
Tried the section of installment sale of the asset depreciation screen, but it wipe off the 1031 exchange Gain on 4797.
