I'VE FOLLOWED THE INSTRUCTIONS BUT THE DIAGNOSTIC IS STILL THERE.,

Form 1040: Form 1040-X is included in this return. This return must be e-filed as an amended return. Please use E-file Amendment options in the File Return. US - Ref #55205

      Did you mean to do an amended? If not look at the profile and remove the check marks for amended.

      me too!  I've gone through everything and all are marked correctly.  Did you have any success in clearing the error?

      Very possibly the diagnostic will not clear. It is informational and you can just ignore it and go on with your your life (and your e-filing.)

        I can't e-file without clearing the error message.  I already e-filed Fed and now i realize i should have done state as well so i unchecked federal amendment and still have error.
