How do you make a partial payment on balance due with e-filed return?

Hi Jay,

On the General > Misc. Info./Direct Deposit screen, check the box for direct debit and enter banking info as you normally would. Then, click the "Miscellaneous" section along the top. Scroll about halfway down until you see a field "Form 1040 payment (defaults to amount due) [Override]". Enter the partial amount you want paid with the return there.
