How do I input directly into the return instead of doing the quetionnaire

You can't.  Tax programs are either form or interview-driven.  And ProConnect Tax (as does Lacerte) belongs to the latter.

If you preview the return, there are drill-down boxes in blue on a number of forms and schedules.  But those are missing in many places and even when there is, they don't always drill down to the precise line or even screen where input should be made.
