Question

How do I get the Alabama Composite return to activate? Nonresident partners states are correct, but the composite return isn't picking them up as nonresident.

Both returns I am having trouble with are a zero return and a loss return, so there is no tax due with either. I do still need to file the composite return though.

Great question! The instructions would be the best place to identify whether you still need for file for the specific returns you have. Here's the link to the instructions: https://revenue.alabama.gov/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/20fptecpteck1_inst.pdf
