Question

HI. I have NJ resident with NY wages. NJ wages are not the same as FED. a second Box 1 entry with NJ wages doesn't work nor does State wages if different. Help, please

Under Income  > Wages, Salaries, Tips (W-2), if you scroll to the "State and Local" section, enter the correct amount of NJ wages on (16) State wages, if different, and, very importantly, code it to NJ in the dropdown box to the right, that amount should flow to NJ-1040 Line 15.  I just tried and it works.
