Has anyone noticed delays at IRS in processing refunds. Several of my clients are complaining?

Have your clients checked "where's my refund" at irs.gov?

And yes, it's been noticed that some refunds have been delayed. There are numerous threads on this board - search/read them.

As to the complaining - politely point out that it is not your fault OR responsibility.

Ive got one accepted 3/31 says its still processing...I dont see anything on it that would cause a delay...retired, with pension and soc sec, some int/divs and itemized deductions but nothing out of the ordinary and all pretty similar to last year WMR says still being processed....tax practitioner hotline had a 30-40 min queue, so I'll try back another day and see if they can provide any guidance

Is the withholding from Social Security, by any chance?

Nope, not on SS. She gets 2 1099Rs one has w/h the other doesn't, same ones as last year.
