form 1042-S

Hello 

I am getting a diagnostic:

Form 1042-S is not supported in the e-file of Form 1040. This return must be filed on paper.

This is new. we always could efile with 1042-s.

any insights?

Hi @AsherTouriel 
We saw this in Lacerte noting the two ways to resolve: either remove the 1042-S, or to remove the W-2 and report the income in another manner (Other income). 
Have you cleared this diag?  If not, I'll have to do some more research.

I am having the same issue.  How exactly did you resolve this diagnostic?  Do we have to enter all of the 1042-S detail info or can we just enter additional federal withholdings directly without the 1042-s detail entry?
