Foreign income exclusion

I have a client who is a security contractor in Iraq.  He has a residency card from Iraq. 

Does the residence card automatically qualify him as a bona fide resident or does he still need to meet the time criteria in country?

    That's a good start. Read the 2555 instructions, and the IRS Pub they refer you to, for additional bona fide resident criteria.

    The more I know the more I don’t know.
