Question

Filing a short year 2023 Form 1065 in 2022 ProConnect software. 2022 TR has already been e-filed. Is there a way to e-file 2023 short year?

Nope, unfortunately.

Extend, and wait for the 2023 software to be available AND for the IRS to open up for 2023 efile (next January, probably)

OR - file by paper, after changing (manually) all the 2022 header dates.  A bit of a PITA, and fraught with danger as you will have to do many manual calculations AND be cognizant of any tax law differences.
