Why can't I change the Federal I.D. number on the 1120s?

It's gray and won't let me change it.

The tax ID number is locked at the time you purchase it -- in other words, when you e-file or print. To fix it, you'll have to make a copy of the tax return. You can then contact Intuit to give you a credit so you don't pay twice for the same return.
