I have applied for EFIN with SSN and now Proconnect while entering the firm details ask for the Federal ID which is in the EIN format- But I have the SSN Not the EIN- how do i deal with this why there is need for EIN when i have applied for EFIN based in my SSN and also will there be any critical diagnostic if i keep federal id blank.  However will there be any challege in e fiilng the tax return and FINCEN FBAR 114 Tax return is there any challlenge.

Leave the FEIN blank. There will be no problem.

Even on the Fincen FBAR filings how to do this and if i keep this blank will there not be any critical diagnostics while e filing the return.

You need to set up the PREPARER information and be sure to check the box as Self Employed. In this part you will need to show your SSN, which is not ideal. You will also need the PTIN, which is what will print on the return.

EIN and EFIN are different. Personally, I would not put my SSN in the Preparer section of tax returns. I’d get an EIN.

The more I know the more I don’t know.

EFIN got rejected- How to resolve this- The request that has been submitted was Rejected due to other. Please correct the documentation and submit a new request for additional review.

Also i dont have EIN and EFIN number which is registered it done on SSN- And that SSN is not CPA or Enrolled Agent- He is just US Resident looking for tax flings and Preparer is the EA who has PTIN but no SSN as   non Resident
