Does Proconnect allow me to e-file Louisiana amended return?

I clicked 'amend return' and Proconnect made a copy of the return and locked the original, but why does the locked version not show as filed and the unlocked version show as filed? It's like they locked the wrong version.

Can I e-file a LA amended return? When reading on the LA website, it says to file the amended return as if the original return was not filed so I made my adjustments to the LA return in Proconnect, but I cannot file it because the 'unlocked' version that I'm working in shows as already being filed.

Is my only option that I have to print and mail this?

Hi @amynguyen Thanks for posting in the Community about if you are able to e-file an amended LA return. We checked on this and there is a diagnostic (see below) that generates in ProConnect Tax when you have an amended LA return that says it is not allowed to be e-filed. It would need to be paper filed.

A state amended return is not allowed for Louisiana e-file. This return must be filed as a conventional paper return. LA - Ref #13904

For "why does the locked version not show as filed in the program", we would reach out to ProConnect Support for assistance with this.
