Do I need an EFIN if I am simply filing a 1065 for an LLC of which I'm a member?

Hi.  Do I need an EFIN if I don't prepare tax returns for other businesses except my own?  In other words, do I need to be an ERO, simply for being a Self-Preparer?

Yes, if you use professional tax software like ProConnect Tax Online.

No, if you use consumer products.

    You need an EFIN to e-file.  Paper filing doesn't require an EFIN but I thought I saw a post the other day that said ProConnect required an EFIN.
