Whenever I add a dependent between the age of 19 and 23, the 1040 leaves the checkbox 'unchecked' for "And in the U.S." for that dependent. How do I resolve this?

By default the program will check the U.S. box.  Please make sure that on the dependent screen you have the Earned Income Credit box set to option #2 for Student age19 to 23 and Child Tax Credit set to "When Applicable".   Also, make sure the taxpayer's address on the client information is a U.S. address entered correctly.  If you are still having issues, please contact support where we can review your actual return: How to Contact ProConnect Support .

Check the box if it applies???????

That reminds me of the age old question ------------------- what does under 24 mean?🤔 🤔
