Delaware Corporation Doing Business In California

I have a new startup client who is a Delaware corporation doing business in California. My understanding is that they don't need to file a DE income tax return (since they aren't doing business there) but they do need to file a CA corp return as a "foreign" corporation--I'm wondering if there is somewhere on CA Form 100 where I mark them as "foreign" to California?

Additionally, though I don't believe they need to file a DE corporate income tax return, they do need to file the DE Annual Franchise Tax Report. I don't think I can do this through ProConnect--I think they need to do it on the DE state website--but just wanted to know if anyone can confirm this?

Thanks!

I hope OP figured that out a year ago.

The more I know the more I don’t know.
