Client received lump sum SSDI in June 2020, for June 19 - May 20). Should 19 portion be included in 19 return (no SSA1099 for 2019?

I think the other option is to file an amended return when SSA 1099 for 2020 is received?

No, you'll be able to use the SS Lump Sum worksheet in the 2020 program to accommodate this, you wouldnt input any of this for the 2019 return.

If  they are receiving an ACA premium tax credit for 2020, remind them that it might need to be recalculated because of the higher income -- even if for tax computation purposes, some of it is based on 2019.
