Question

Can I overturn an accepted state return since it has the wrong SSN?

The federal return rejected due to an incorrect Social Security number, but the State return accepted.  Should the accepted state return be manually rejected somehow?

Not quite sure what "manually" rejected might be... but no, you can't.

You DO need to do an amended return, so the poor soul who owns that "incorrect" SSN isn't harassed by the state in question.
