Can I amend the filing status from MFS to Single?

The wife filed MFS, she didn't have the copy of the divorce decree filed on 12.28.2024. can I amend the return in proseries to change the status only?

What software are you using? You posted ProConnect, but said ProSeries.

Regardless, you should be able to do the amended return. with either software.

    I just realized that I posted to Proconnect.  Proseries didnt let me change the status in the federal return.

    Hi, please review this article regarding amendments in ProSeries: Amending an individual return (1040X) in ProSeries.

    However, per the article "What if I'm amending a return to report a change in filing status? These returns must still be paper filed. The filing status of any e-filed amended return must match the filing status of the originally filed return."
